Brabantse Asperges

Today was my belated birthday dinner made by my mom. White Asparagus, egg, ham and cleared butter. Yummie. My mom got on her bicycle, went to a nearby farmer and bought 3 and a half pounds of asparagus (dug this morning). They have a new machine this year, that peels the asparagus. And that's great. Because peeling them is time consuming and nasty work. They also sell special white wine to go with the asparagus. All very good. Fresh strawberries for dessert.
