Brabantse Asperges

Today was my belated birthday dinner made by my mom. White Asparagus, egg, ham and cleared butter. Yummie. My mom got on her bicycle, went to a nearby farmer and bought 3 and a half pounds of asparagus (dug this morning). They have a new machine this year, that peels the asparagus. And that's great. Because peeling them is time consuming and nasty work. They also sell special white wine to go with the asparagus. All very good. Fresh strawberries for dessert.

Off to the homeland

Jeroen and I are off to Amsterdam for a week, visiting family, do (a little) work, get our house over there ready for renting out and see Gertjan (J's oldest brother) sweat when he does his acceptance lecture as professor in Water and Health this Friday. Pretty busy!! Ruba couldn't come with us, so she is having a long sleepover at Sara and Matt's.

Just Finished it. Choose a different color of green for the edging. To set it off. The backside is a piece of ultra suede from a scrap bag I once ordered online. It was a really nice project to work on.

Happy with my iPad

I got an iPad for my birthday and it's great!! My mom gave me a beautiful skin with it called "she who dares".
